Our Story

Welcome to DeLeonDoodles! We are Rebecca & Conner DeLeon and with our two daughters we are the founders of DeLeonDoodles, a small family dog breeder. Our dog story beings about 10 years ago.  With the purchase of our first home we knew the final component to our new lives together was to add a four legged family member. Enter Seeley, the cutest, furriest, blue eyed, Siberian Husky! Seeley was undeniably a beautiful addition to our lives. He quickly solidified our love for dogs and even quicker showed us the rumors of husky dogs shedding and escape abilities were no myth. Life with Seeley was always an adventure. He craved attention and wanted nothing more than to show his affection, especially for our daughter Raegan. It was clear that Seeley and Raegan had a special bond and from then on they were inseparable. As the years passed we knew we'd love to add more pups to our family but unfortunately shortly after our daughter Charlotte was born she battled some health issues which quickly became our top priority. We learned she had an allergy to dogs and sadly a time came where we were potentially faced with having to re-home Seeley. Amazingly, we never had to face that reality and with the help of amazing doctors and time, Charlotte overcame her health issues and out grew her dog allergy!

Enter the year 2020 when the world went topsy turvy. Despite it being an unimaginable year for the world, it turned out to be just the dose of change our family needed. We bought our current home days before the world shut down. We found ourselves in our new bubble with what seemed like all the time in the world and plenty of possibilities to start our new adventure. Our new home had a large fenced yard for Seeley to run and play, the girls were loving all the new space they had so naturally they begged to add that second pup we always talked about. In a hiccup of hesitation, we decided we'd start small. Charlotte's pet pick was instead a bunny. We found a farm who was looking to rehome some Holland Lop Bunnies and off we went. On arrival we learned that Mama bunny was also looking for her new home and that was that, we returned home with two adorable bunnies. Well, what was thought to be a simple new pet turned out to be a much bigger adventure. We quickly went from two bunnies to eleven bunnies! Yup, Mama had nine babies! That's when the real fun began! We adored those bunnies, so much so we even traveled four hours to upstate NY for a family vacation with bunnies in tow. Probably the highlight of that trip was everyone sitting lake side around a bon fire a night with a bunny in their lap!! We came home, the bunnies ran free in the vegetable garden and life was grand. But reality set in and we ultimately decided we weren't really a bunny family, but not to worry, all eleven bunnies moved on to live the best farm life possible! We still get to see photos of them today!

Enter phase two of our dog life! We knew at that moment we were dog people! We did our research and knew our next addition would be a doodle! While Charlotte had for the most part outgrown her lung issues, we didn't want to risk adding another shedding dog to our house. Seeley already shed enough to run the vacuum at least 4x a day! Our eyes were set on finding a goldendoodle. Rebecca had grown up with a Golden Retriever, Jake, and knew what great family dogs the retrievers were. Adding the mix of the poodle makes a perfect blend of both breeds and with the poodle trait, little to no shedding! However, fate would step in and we'd find the handsome Bernedoodle, looking for his forever home! Welcome Cooper! He was a perfect fit for our family! And who knew after all these years of Seeley playing escape artist, all he really needed was a playmate to chase around the yard! Once again life was grand! Seeley and Cooper were amazing, but with one small flaw. We really wanted a smaller dog too. At 50lbs and 80lbs, both were a bit large, and the desire for a goldendoodle was still there. In our search and research for our mini goldendoodle we developed some beautiful relationships with breeders across the country. We learned extensively about what type of dogs were best to breed, the lifestyle required of a breeder and the overall ins and outs of breeding. In that, the decison was made. With extensive help from breeders with decades of experience and guidance from our vet, we would enter the world of dog breeding and best of all, mini goldendoodle breeding.

Welcome Clementine and Cosmo, our Mini Goldendoodle Dam and Stud. Right here is something that sets us apart from typical dog breeders. We wanted to not only be part of the ethical world of dog breeding, but this was not going to be just a business venture. These pups were going to be part of our forever family! And undeniably some of the best parts! Clementine is by far the sweetest, angelic pup around, and Cosmo is nothing but loving and playful! They are the cutest couple who endlessly show their love for each other! You can almost always find them cuddling. When their puppies are present, they both take on parental roles! Clementine tends to her babies and Cosmo stands guard at the door until they're old enough to play. Then he will heard them around the yard teaching them the best parts of dog life, from how to find the perfect stick to how to get the best belly rubs! People think were joking until they see it for themselves. Clementine and Cosmo are the perfect pair and make the perfect pups to add to your forever homes! All pups are genetic tested and health cleared, come meet your newest furry addition at DeLeon Doodles!

"I have a puppy from DeLeonDoodles's first litter and cannot say enough good things. The care and socialization that the pups experience in their infancy stages, to the trust in this breeder has allowed our family to have one of the smartest and calmest puppies I have ever had. The mini goldendoodle breed is very special." - Ruffles Family
